Comment of some members of the CRCI board

Nelson Ndungu

I am Nelson Ndungu 33 yrs old and the founder member of CRCI children’s home, social working is my profession .

I hold a diploma in Social working and project management from the Kenya Institute of social work and community development also I have a diploma in martial arts 2nd degree black belt from the Karate Federation of Kenya.

Due to HIV/AIDS disaster in Kenya and the growth of slums in Thika and Kenya in general there is an increase in orphans, vulnerable and street children in Kenya and Thika in particular, as a result together with friends in Thika we came together and founded the CRCI to rescue the children for before then it was the work of the police who mixed the children with criminals in the police cells all in the name of rescue, as a result they were abused physically and sexually but for now around Thika this is no longer a problem with CRCI around. May CRCI spirit live longer!
